Sea bream is a Mediterranean fish, which has milky white and juicy meat. A well grown sea bream has red dots on cheeks . It is an easily cooked fish since there is no need to marinate or spice for its natural taste.
Here in my recipe, I used a few garnishes just to give some Mediterranean flourish 😉
Preheat oven to 180c (360F) . I advise you to boil the potato for at least 10 minutes without peeling before chopping into thick round slices. This will help you to have well shaped & cooked potatoes.
This is applicable for all potato like vegetables.
After cleaning the fish from its visceral parts , salt the fish on both sides and leave it to rest while you work on garnishes until roast.
Cover the tray with aluminum foil in double size of tray. After leaving the fish & garnishes on it, we’ll cover the top with the remaining foil.
Onion and boiled potato must be sliced half inch wide round shaped and garlic cloves must be out of their skins for maximum flourish into the fish.
Put all the garnishes abreast on the tray.
Lay fish on top of them. Pour all olive oil on the fish…
and do not forget to place daphne leaves in the tray. Daphne leaves have a stunning impact on oven roast fish meals. Trust me! It will boost the taste!
Now it’s time to cook it. Cover up the tray with remaining aluminum foil. Cook it for 30 minutes.I strongly suggest that it’s covered tight in order to box in the moist.
After half an hour tear off the foil and leave it in the oven open top for another 15 minutes.
Serve with scallions. It’ll be delicious and yet a great decoration on your plate.
