Here I am with one of my family & friends special recipes. There is no one around me who doesn’t like or beg me to cook this meal every once in a while. This time on a great game day, we gathered with friends and I made them a mind blowing surprise. Not only my friends but also my diet crazy wife and 4 year old boy can resist those yummy chops:) It is definitely a diet killer:)))
You know, lamb meat is a self flavored meat that has a very delicious fat on it. Despite the fact that it’s a natural immune system healer, unfortunately it has negative effects on cholesterol! So I emphasize my first statement: This is a very special and delicious once in a while recipe..
Let’s have a look at the steps..
Start boiling potatoes for 10 minutes.
Chop onions 1/2 inch wide ring shaped and put on tray, then chop red pepper and leek , clean the garlic from its skin. Chop the potatoes 1/2 inch wide ring shaped without peeling
Put all garnishes; onions,garlic,potatoes,red pepper,leek on tray and add 1 ounce water…
Here I add a little different garnish to have a more spicy taste on my vegetables, it’s pancetta. (If you have difficulties finding it you may replace with smoked bacon.)
Put all lamb chops on the garnishes, add thyme, cumin and olive oil on top of lamp chops.
Cover your tray with foil and cook it for 1/2 hour at 400 F
Then tear off the cover and cook for 1 hour more
Consume with a glass of red wine. It helps to digest. Trust me you’re gonna need it:)
